If you are looking for resources that can help you understand behavioral or mood problems that your child or adolescent is having, we are happy to be able to refer you to the search window for the "Facts for Families" section of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. This excellent set of nearly one hundred different handouts (in several languages) offers a great resource for understanding and beginning the process of finding help.If you are looking for ways to understand specific problems that your child is having in school, then the "Learning Disabilities" section of the GreatSchools website (www.greatschools.org) provides a large amount of very useful information.There is also a wide range of information on child and adolescent development and health available from our colleagues at the American Academy of Pediatrics.Finally, if you know that you are looking for a child and adolescent psychiatrist to help you and your child or adolescent, then we would refer you to either your health insurance company's website to search for one or to AACAP's "Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Finder" to help you find one of our members in your city or county (please note the link to find a child and adolescent psychiatrist is located at the bottom of the page).
